To take you where you want to go, the Library offers books, DVDs, music, books on CD, and video games for every age group. The two story facility houses not only materials to check out but also a computer lab and meeting room.
The Library offers something for every age group. For the youngest members of the community, preschool story times are presented every Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. In addition, there is a summer reading program during the months of June and July and various special programs throughout the year.
Children in grades 6-8 can volunteer at the library as a Junior Librarian. The Junior Librarians assist the staff with programs and activities, primarily during the summer.
Teens have special programs throughout the year and a summer reading program, as well. 11th and 12th graders at Pelham High School have the opportunity to become Library Ambassadors. The Ambassadors promote reading, literacy and use of the Library.
Entertaining and informative speakers present monthly programs for adults. In addition, the Pelham Library Guild offers numerous volunteer opportunities. Members support the Library and community by hosting used book sales, volunteering at the Library, sponsoring a scholarship for a graduating Pelham High School student and much more. Look for more information about the Guild on our homepage.
Under the operation of the Library, the Pelham Senior Center offers a variety of activities including dancing, exercise, drawing, games, singing, a menís club and more. Links to a complete schedule are available on the Libraryís homepage.
With all of this and more, the Pelham Public Library offers you the tools to take you where you want to go.
